About Kirkham

Kirkham is an attractive and historic market town dating back to Roman times situated in the borough of Fylde just 10 minutes from Lytham and the attractions of the Fylde coast and within easy reach of Preston. There are excellent rail, bus and motorway links.

Kirkham has won multiple North West In Bloom awards over the last 20 years and has recently been awarded a £10m grant by the government for further town centre improvement. A large Costa coffee is opening on the main street in Kirkham in spring 2022 and is just 100 yards from The Manse to compliment an excellent range of independent shops and family owned businesses including the well known Book, Bean and Ice Cream shop, newly opened micro pub restaurants and artisan bakery.

Kirkham Grammar school was founded in 1549 and is one of the oldest grammar schools in the UK. The Manse is just a 5 minute drive from the five star Ribby Hall holiday village covering 130 acres of lovely countryside.
